这个作品关于一个西安的无名画家,他经商,开酒吧,同时日以继夜地画画,8年前他得病去世,生前没做过一次个展,最后的几年都在陕西宝鸡的画室度过,有多少像这样的灵魂在中国快速发展的经济浪潮中左右徘徊前后踱步,他们在家庭和画室之间在自我和世界之间转换频道,迅速地出走又返回,而现在画室里只剩下那些被搁置的衣物、颜料、画布、调色盘、画笔。这些物件生长建立在一个美术馆的空间场域,继而延伸、编织、交错,串联起另一端的历史现场。这些展示的背后则是关于两座古都 - 绍兴、西安的历史凝望。还有那些过去和现在的消逝和正在消逝的个体,所有的图像和记忆都还原为身体动作的同形截取、对物件挪移的发问,还有在身体动作之外的恍惚而飘零的梦想。
Work Statement
This exhibition is about an unknown painter in Xi 'an. He works in a business, runs a bar, and paints day and night. He died of illness 8 years ago. He never had a solo exhibition before his death. He spent the last few years in Baoji's studio. How many souls like these wanders around in China's fast-growing economic wave. They switch channels between themselves and the world between family and studio, and quickly run away and return to the studio. Now there are only the clothes, pigments, canvases, color palette and brushes that have been put on hold in the studio. The growth of these objects is established in the spatial field of an art museum, which then extends, weaves, interleaves and connects the historical sites at the other end in series. Behind these displays are historical gazing at the two ancient capitals-Shaoxing and Xi 'an. There are also those individuals who have passed away and are passing away in the past and present. All images and memories are reduced to the homomorphic interception of body movements and the questioning of moving objects. A miniature local history of Xi 'an is formed between these bodies and objects, texts and historical plays, as well as the dream of wandering in a trance outside the body movements.

激发研究所是一个艺术策划平台。它在 2011 年时搬进北京黑芝麻胡同,但激发研究所的前身移动剧场从 2008 年起就开始策划相关艺术项目了。当时的活动组织人只有建筑师陈淑瑜和来自比利时的汉学家 Els Silvrants-Barclay 。项目多是让欧洲和中国的艺术家进行交流交换,更关注身体表演和社会空间介入等艺术项目。

本次展览以移动为起点,重新拼接空间中被遗忘的散落的时间点,以激发研究所为空间背景,通过移动表演者、被迫生成的声音、挪移物件所建立的空间关系、现实情境、口述历史进行拼贴剪辑,最终形成由时间、行动导致的独幕式文本现场,在这里,作品将表演当作展览,表演具象化为移动的视听轨迹,在移动中展开一种精神状态和历史叙事,以此激活一段从A点到B点被凝固的时空碎片。
Work Statement
This exhibition uses movement as a starting point to reassemble the forgotten and scattered points in time in the space to encourage the study of a spatial backdrop through Moving performers, forced voices, spatial relationships created by moving objects, real-life situations, oral histories for collage editing. The result is a one-act textual site of time and action, where the Works are presented by performances, while performances are materialized by audio-visual effects. As it moves, it unfolds a mental state and historical narrative, thereby activating fragments of the frozen time from point A to point B .

这个展览是剧场创作概念所延展出的绘画实践,呈现藉由剧场中虚拟时间、特定空间、动作痕迹等语言架构和方法所进行的平面拟态作品。
平面拟态作品是近期对于媒介间关系探索的全新尝试,试图提供出另一种绘画时间的立体感受。艺术家在数年的美术馆、艺术机构、家庭、社区等剧场表演实践后,将其所获得的剧场艺术的经验以及不能施展和实现的遗憾统一了起来,纳入到近似“剧本”的绘画表达中,在这种称之为“架上剧场”的“剧场”形式中,尝试将相似图形和历史事件并置勾连,精心设计图像间的关系进而得到新的表演和叙述状态,将颜料模拟的图像、色彩、结构、光线、文字进行编织和排演,将绘画动作与表演动作混淆协作进而制造出真实与设计交错的时空感。架上剧场中对于时间的剪辑、声音的安排和动作、光线的提示与以往的剧场创作保持着一致,看似是对语言中方法、叙述、错误的排演,实则是通过多幕式叙事、对事物的抽离和对语言本身的运用来传达对于社会表演这一宏大概念中的小人物命运的持续关注和深入探讨。
Work Statement
This show would feature the latest paintingpractice of the artist— Painting Theatre, which is based on the extendedcreative concepts of theater performance. The flat 2-dimentional mimeticartworks in this exhibition are inspired by linguistic formulation and methodssuch as the virtual temporality, specific spatiality and the motion traceetc.
The flat 2-dimentional mimetic artworks present the newest attempts ofthe artist to inquire the correlations among different media and to provide newthree-dimensional feeling about the painting temporality. The artist has many years-experiences ofperformance in galleries, art agencies, private families and communities etc.,and he seeks to integrate the experience of theatric arts, the regrettable andunachievable performance into another form of “script” writing, albeitpainting. He tries to connect similar graphs and historical events in what hecoins as theatrical forms on the easel. He elaborately designs the correlationsamong the images to render new performance and narrative; he weaves the mimeticimages, colors, structures, light and texts into a rehearsal; he mixes thepainting actions with performative actions to generate a temporality andspatiality which is a mixture of reality and design. The editing of the time,the arrangement of sound, the reminder of light presented in this exhibition havebeen consistent with his previous performance in the theatre. It seems to be arehearsal of methods, narrative and errors in languages. However, the fact isthat by the multi-scene narrative, the abstraction of things and theapplication of language, the artist conveys his persistent concern and profoundinquiry about the destiny of nobody.
